A harrowing video captured during the Saba Saba protests on Monday, July 7, has left Kenyans in shock and sparked widespread condemnation of police brutality.

The footage, which continues to circulate online, shows three armed police officers dragging a nearly naked man — believed to have been shot — across the ground and into a police station.

Though the location of the incident remains unverified, the visual alone has been enough to ignite deep anger and grief nationwide. It remains unclear whether the man was alive or dead at the time, but the lack of urgency or care shown by the officers has drawn intense scrutiny.

The video surfaced amidst widespread demonstrations held across the country to mark Saba Saba Day. Watch the full video in link below

Top celebrities including comedians Mulamwah and Obinna have joined in condemning the disturbing incident. Taking to their social media platforms, they expressed heartbreak and frustration, calling for justice and accountability. Obinna captioned the clip stating;

@ogaobinna

"Wueh??‍♂️ what is happening to my country? The ones that should protect us are the ones harming and killing us. Why are THE POLICE taking things TOO PERSONAL na sisi wote tunapitia ma SHIDA (and yet we’re all going through hardship)? It’s like there is a VENDETTA between KENYAN POLICE and the YOUTH. SO SAD. WE HAVE LOST TOO MANY COMRADES AS IS. TOO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MURDERED. When is it enough?? ''

while Mulamwah reacted

"Lakini, kushoot msee halafu umvurutie chini ??

[But shooting someone then dragging them on the ground?]

For what? For how much? To please who?

Is it worth it? How do you sleep?

Watoto wanakula na kusomea hizo dooh utapewa after hio mauaji? [Will your kids eat or study with the money you’re paid after committing such a killing?]

Such a cursed task force.

Pole sana kwa waliopoteza maisha [Condolences to those who lost their lives]

We still hope for a better nation"
