Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna’s wife, Didi Wamukoya Watenya, has attracted attention online after photos of her surfaced on social media.
The images were shared by X influencer Engineer Kogi on Sunday, August 30, showing Didi alongside Sifuna while the two appeared to be holding an official document.
The appearance offered Kenyans a rare glimpse of a woman who has largely stayed away from the political spotlight despite being married to one of the country’s most outspoken politicians.

Away from her husband’s political career, Didi has built a professional record in environmental law and wildlife crime enforcement.
Didi joined the Kenya Wildlife Service in 2007 and served as Head of Prosecution until 2015, according to the African Wildlife Foundation.
Her work at KWS focused on prosecuting wildlife-related offences and strengthening Kenya’s response to wildlife crime.
Marriage to Edwin Sifuna
Didi and Sifuna met while studying at the University of Nairobi and married in 2015, according to Kenyan media reports. The two have a daughter together.
While Sifuna has become a familiar face in Kenyan politics, Didi has maintained a considerably lower public profile.
She also comes from a political family. Her late father, Joseph Wamukoya, served as a Member of Parliament for Matungu and held a ministerial position during the Daniel arap Moi administration, according to biographical reports.
