A Direct Reply to a Fan
A follower with the handle @nyako_lovette commented on the politician's body shape and eating habits. The user wrote in full:
"You are now a governor; can you now eat omera penda chakula Nona hata kidogo yawa."

Babu Owino did not hesitate to issue a quick reply from his verified account. Responding directly to the comment, he stated:
“My body is built for speed and comfort; ask my wife."
The brief exchange quickly drew attention from social media users following the lawmaker's online updates.
Scriptural Reflection on Marriage
The photograph triggering the conversation showed Babu Owino posing alongside his wife. In his post caption, the MP shared verses from the Bible centered on marriage and family life.
He quoted Proverbs 18:22:
"He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord."
He added a second quotation from Proverbs 31:11-12:
"Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life."
The Thirteen-Year Union
Babu Owino and Fridah Muthoni Ongili have been married for 13 years. The couple first met as students at the University of Nairobi. They are parents to two daughters.
Fridah Muthoni Ongili is a former banker and works as a fashion entrepreneur. She has consistently supported her husband throughout his political career in Embakasi East.

Public Persona Versus Home Life
During a recent birthday event for the lawmaker, Fridah Ongili gave a speech praising his devotion at home. She distinguished his public political reputation from his character as a husband and father.
She stated during her speech:
"I thank God very much for having a good husband who is also a good father to our children that God has blessed us with, and who is also a good father to all children."
She also expressed spiritual support for his political ambitions in Nairobi and beyond:
"I pray that God will enlarge your capacity, enlarge your shoulders, because you're not just going to carry this county; you're going to carry this country one day."
