Narrowing the National Gap

Nationally, the competitive landscape has solidified into a tight two-horse race. Radio Jambo has significantly narrowed the gap between them and Citizen, gaining a massive audience of 16,027,000 listeners.

The station achieved this by gaining about 2 million new listeners to move past the 16 million mark. This rapid growth has strengthened its national footprint ahead of other major networks.

Among the Swahili stations, Radio Maisha follows behind Radio Jambo with a national reach of 14,938,000, while Milele FM secured fourth place with 10,853,000 listeners across the country.

National and Nairobi Competition

Other Swahili networks continue to trail the leading broadcasters. Radio 47 Swahili boasts 8,986,000 listeners nationally while Radio Taifa wraps up the top national standings with an audience of 8,091,000 listeners.
