The WHO is calling for transparent and accountable use of funds mobilised to fight Ebola outbreaks in Africa, while urging partners to ensure resources reach affected communities. WHO Regional Director for Africa Yakub Janabi says emergency financing must be adequate, flexible and readily available to support health workers, surveillance, laboratories and preparedness in neighbouring countries. He says every dollar must deliver protection and better health outcomes for affected populations.
