Kenya has reported no new cases of Bundibugyo virus disease, as the country’s Ebola response enters its 17th day, with the first contacts expected to complete quarantine from Sunday. Director-General for Health Patrick Amoth says all 14 samples collected from suspected cases in the past 24 hours tested negative. The nine confirmed cases remain unchanged, while eight patients undergoing treatment are stable and responding well to care.
