National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah has urged striking university lecturers to give dialogue a chance and avoid taking hard-line positions that could delay a resolution to their dispute. The Kikuyu MP has also called on the lecturers to allow the SRC to address their concerns as efforts continue to resolve the ongoing strike. Lecturers have been on strike for more than two weeks, demanding adequate funding for the conclusion of their 2027–2029 CBA and payment of outstanding arrears.
