Nairobi motorists should prepare for road closures from midnight this weekend as the city gears up for the 2026 Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon on Sunday. Nairobi County Traffic Commandant Joseph Chirchir says police officers and traffic marshals will be deployed to manage traffic and protect runners. About 30,000 participants, including 1,000 foreign athletes, are expected to take part in the annual race.
