A Politrack Africa survey released on October 1, 2026, shows how Kenyans rate government performance across key sectors, with roads and housing receiving the highest ratings among the areas assessed.

Roads and Housing each garnered 16.3% of respondents' approval, followed by Health services, including SHIF and SHA, at 13.0%. Agriculture ranked next at 10.0%.

Other sectors recorded considerably lower ratings. Education stood at 4.7%, while Job and Youth opportunities received 4.1%. Another 3.8% of respondents were unsure how to rate government performance.

The Economy and cost of living, as well as Electricity and water services, each received 2.4%. Security recorded the lowest rating at 1.4%.

Overall, the findings show wide variations in how respondents assessed government performance across different sectors, with infrastructure and housing receiving substantially higher ratings than areas such as security, utilities and the cost of living.
