Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has been summoned to appear before the High Court for mitigation on Tuesday next week. Justice Patricia Nyaundi found Kanja in contempt of court for failing to ensure police complied with an order requiring prior public notification before erecting roadblocks during the June 25 protests in Nairobi.
