A recent Know Your Numbers (KNY) survey report by IPSOS reveals a stark contrast in health monitoring habits among Kenyans.

While lifetime awareness is high—79% have checked their blood pressure, 59% measured their BMI, and 47% tested their blood sugar—routine testing remains surprisingly low.

Only 15% have ever tested cholesterol, and a mere 9% checked waist circumference.

Recent engagement drops even lower: over the past three months, just 28% tested for blood sugar, 7% for cholesterol, and 5% for waist size.
