Deadly disasters have claimed thousands of lives across the world since 2024.
In Ethiopia’s Gofa Zone, 249 people died in July 2024, while 15,000 were affected. Papua New Guinea’s Enga Province recorded 670 deaths and displaced more than 7,800 people in May 2024.
India’s Wayanad disaster killed 420 people and left 118 missing. Uganda’s Bulambuli floods killed at least 28 and left 113 missing.
