Price and data privacy stand out as the top priorities for consumers evaluating innovative products globally.
According to findings from the Bosch Tech Compass 2026 featured in the Global Index, 2026 survey, both price and data privacy and security tied at the top, each cited by 35% of respondents.
Safety features closely followed, with 32% of people prioritising safety when looking at product innovation. Core functional attributes also rank high on the list, with functionality and ease of use each garnering 30% of consumer preference.
Meanwhile, sustainability and performance tied at 27%, highlighting a steady interest in both eco-friendly tech and raw capability.
Durability remains a moderate consideration, valued by 24% of buyers. Post-purchase factors sit lower on the priority scale: support and service registered at 14%, while repairability accounted for 12%.
Aesthetic and secondary features landed near the bottom of consumer priorities.
Customisation options and design both captured just 7% of consumer focus, while the entertainment factor trailed behind all other attributes at 6%.
The findings demonstrate a clear global consumer focus on fundamental utility, cost, and security over aesthetic flair or casual entertainment.
