Candidates and political parties will face varying campaign spending ceilings ahead of Kenya’s 2027 General Election, according to figures released by the electoral authorities.

The spending ceiling for a presidential candidate has been set at Sh4.4 billion.

Governors, senators and women representatives will have limits ranging from Sh12.3 million to Sh123 million, while Members of the National Assembly will be allowed to spend between Sh17.5 million and Sh123 million.

MCA candidates will have ceilings ranging from Sh2.5 million to Sh20 million, depending on their areas.

Political parties will have an overall spending ceiling of Sh17.7 billion during the election campaign period.
