Official figures released by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) dated July 25, 2026, show that the agency has forwarded a total of 43 investigation files to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Among the submitted matters, the commission recommended prosecution for 38 files, marking the vast majority of cases referred.

Additionally, two files were recommended for administrative or other action, while three files were recommended for closure.

None of the recommended prosecution cases had been lodged before the court prior to review.

The prosecution office has already made initial determinations on a portion of the referrals.

The DPP accepted recommendations to prosecute in four files, while approving one recommendation for administrative action and one for closure.

However, the prosecutor rejected recommendations to prosecute in four files and turned down one recommendation for administrative action.

In one instance where prosecution was declined, administrative action was recommended instead. No closure recommendations were rejected by the DPP.
