According to ECDB eCommerce Data & Analytics (2025), the global e-commerce market is projected to reach $8 trillion by 2027, accounting for over 20% of total global retail sales, as cited by Global News Wire.

The United Kingdom ranks third with $197 billion, closely followed by Japan at $193 billion, South Korea at $147 billion, and India at $119 billion.
