According to the State of Media 2025 Survey report by MCK, Kenyans identified several pressing issues.

The most significant concerns, each cited by 28% of respondents, are the spread of false or misleading information and the inadequate and diverse coverage of key issues.

Bias in media reporting follows as a major worry for 17% of those surveyed. Meanwhile, a high frequency of advertisements and concerns regarding regulation and freedom of expression both tie at 10%.

Additionally, 6% of Kenyans expressed concern over gaming and gambling content, while 2% pointed toward other unspecified issues.

These findings highlight a landscape where information integrity and comprehensive reporting are the primary anxieties for the public regarding the current state of media.
