
Digital platforms used by Kenyan media to distribute content show social media leading at 36 per cent, covering Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok and Instagram.
Streaming platforms, including YouTube, Netflix, Showmax and Spotify, account for 18.5 per cent, followed by news websites at 15.2 per cent and messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram at 13.5 per cent.
Podcasts register 7.6 per cent, mobile apps 6.3 per cent, and websites 0.7 per cent.
Outlets with 0.3 per cent include PANG, manual circulation, LinkedIn, company websites and client microsites, Decoder, Apple Music and AI for content.
The survey ran from October 17 to November 23, 2025.
