The Kenya Yearbook 2025 has been officially released, offering a comprehensive record of the progress the country has made across various sectors over the past year.
Published by the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board (KYEB), the book provides a holistic overview of the ongoing transformation under the Government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
Themed “Inclusion in Diversity,” the publication highlights how government projects, initiatives and programmes rolled out across the country have expanded opportunities for Kenyans and strengthened inclusivity.
The edition captures the impact of these projects in key sectors such as agriculture, housing, health and the digital economy, featuring stories of beneficiaries from different parts of the country.
One of the standout stories is the revival of the Jarajara Irrigation Scheme in Garissa, which has enabled the county to begin rice production, boosting food security.
In the blue economy sector, the book details how Beach Management Units are transforming the lives of fisherfolk.
KYEB Chairperson Wangui Ng’ang’a said the publication is a vital national resource that captures the country’s socio-economic transformation.
“The Kenya Yearbook 2025 contains more than words and figures; it is a story of resilience, determination and the inclusive spirit of the Kenyan people. It illustrates how the Government and citizens have worked together to overcome challenges and seize opportunities in pursuit of our common goals,” she said.
KYEB Chief Executive Officer Lilian Kimeto said the production of the book marks a significant milestone for the Board and documents the impact of BETA across the country.
“This publication empowers citizens by showing them how to take advantage of opportunities created by government initiatives to improve their lives, particularly in sectors such as health, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), affordable housing and agriculture,” she said.
As a book of record, the Kenya Yearbook 2025 serves as a vital resource for policymakers, academia, investors and the public.
It documents Kenya’s history, national pride and economic achievements, telling the story of the nation’s soul.
KYEB’s core mandate is to document the country’s progress in partnership with the people.
The book is available on the KYEB website.
