Nepal's capital, Kathmandu, has seen a remarkable transformation. After a week of intense anti-corruption protests that led to the Prime Minister's resignation, the same young activists who filled the streets with anger are now armed with brooms and paintbrushes.

For days, the streets were filled with clashes and debris as young people demanded accountability.

Their persistence paid off, and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned, marking a significant political change.

But instead of leaving destruction behind, the youth chose to rebuild. Viral images show young men and women with trash bags, brooms, and dustbins, cleaning pavements and repainting walls of government buildings.

Global Praise and Local Humour

Nepal's youth have earned admiration worldwide for not just leading a revolution but also demonstrating civic responsibility. On social media, people are praising their actions.

"They've shown that activism can evolve into healing, offering a blueprint for civic responsibility after a revolution."

In Kenya, people reacted with humour and comparisons. Here’s what some Instagram users had to say:

@official_alirobert: "Kenyans would leave this work to Mosiria."

@kenyan_banker: "They really wanted to get ahead of us!"

@m.a.u.ri.ce: "So there are people tougher than us… and they are our students ?."
