President William Ruto on Wednesday inspected the ongoing construction of the Dagoretti South Hospital in Nairobi.

Addressing the residents, Ruto promised to ensure the project is completed.

He urged Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja to hand over the project to him amidst complaints of financial constraints. 

"Governor, kindly hand over this project to me so that I see it through in due time to allow the residents of Mutuini to receive the proper treatment they require," Ruto said.

He further added that in two weeks he plans to send out a group of contractors who will ensure construction resumes. 

The project is expected to be completed in July and officially launched by the President in August this year.

Ruto said the national government will work hand in hand with the governor to ensure that the hospital receives the proper equipment to facilitate treatment.

Ruto was accompanied by his deputy Kithure Kindiki, ICT CS Cabinet William Kabogo, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris among other officials and leaders from the county.
