The National Treasury has published details showing how the 47 county governments have shared Sh3.5 trillion released by the National Government over the last 11 years.

The National Treasury also confirmed that the government does not owe devolved units any money in arrears for the last financial year 2023/24.

The National Treasury said that over the last 11 years, aggregate annual disbursements to all county governments grew by Sh186.13 billion or 95.13 per cent.

Nairobi led with Sh131.7 billion.

It was followed by Turkana with Sh87.3 billion.
