Senators on Thursday night upheld the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

They upheld five of the 11 charges levelled against Gachagua.

"The Senate has resolved to remove from office by impeachment Rigathi Gachagua, the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya," Senate Speaker Amason Kingi.
