Spotting signs of an eye problem in your child

On October 10, 2024, World Health Organisation draws specific attention to child eye health.

World Sight Day is observed annually on the second Thursday of October.

It is a global event meant to draw attention to blindness, vision impairment and the importance of eye health.

The day was originally initiated by the SightFirstCampaign of Lions Club International Foundation in 2000.

The day emphasises the importance of regular eye check-ups, early intervention in eye conditions and the prevention of avoidable blindness.
