Media personality Oga Obinna has come to the defence of gospel singer Size 8 and her husband DJ Mo following criticism of their newly unveiled mansion.
The comedian questioned why Kenyans were scrutinizing the couple’s home and questioning their interior design choices despite having contributed nothing towards its construction.
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Friday, November 6, Obinna jokingly suggested that the couple had made the mistake of building a house according to their own preferences instead of what Kenyans wanted.
“DJ Mo na Size 8, naona mliwajengea Wakenya walikuwa wamewapa contract muwajengee nyumba vile wanaitaka. Na mistake mlifanya ni nyinyi mkajenga nyumba vile munataka, na Wakenya hawajafurahia,” he said.

Obinna went on to question why social media users felt entitled to dictate how the couple should design their home.
He pointed out that some people had criticized details such as the lighting, bathroom decorations and general appearance of the house.
The media personality argued that the couple had worked hard and made financial sacrifices to achieve their dream home, adding that they deserved to enjoy the results without being subjected to constant criticism.

“Kenyans would contribute one bob, not a cent, not a shilling. Hata sumuni mtu hajatoa. Umeenda umebuy shamba yako, ukajenga nyumba yako,” he remarked.
Obinna also revealed that he had visited the property several times while it was under construction because of his friendship with the couple.
He said he had witnessed the effort and financial discipline that went into the project, estimating that the mansion could have cost approximately KSh 50 million.

The father of four further challenged those unhappy with the couple’s choices to concentrate on their own homes instead of finding fault with someone else’s achievement.
“Build yours. Fagia kwako, jenga yako,” he said.
He also addressed Size 8 and DJ Mo directly, congratulating them on completing a project they had worked towards for years.

“Size 8, I love the house. It came out exactly how you guys wanted it. And you guys love the house; that is what matters. Your family loves the house. Enjoy your house,” he added.
Size 8 and DJ Mo recently gave followers a detailed tour of their mansion, showcasing its spacious living room, dining area, kitchen and other interior features.
The couple’s home has attracted mixed reactions, with some Kenyans praising the achievement while others questioned certain aspects of its design.
