Nairobi’s live music scene is set to welcome a new experience as British-Nigerian R&B singer and songwriter Odeal prepares to headline the inaugural edition of The Soulcial on Saturday, December 19, 2026.

The event, which will take place at Kasarani Indoor Arena, is a new music and lifestyle experience dedicated to alternative R&B, contemporary soul and Afro-fusion.

Founded by Dickson Matata of Crispy Life Events, The Soulcial aims to bring together audiences who appreciate soulful melodies, alternative sounds and the evolving influence of African music on contemporary R&B.

Odeal will lead the first edition, bringing his distinctive blend of alternative R&B, African influences and soulful songwriting to Kenyan fans.

The singer has built an international following through releases such as Soh-Soh and You’re Stuck, earning recognition for his unique sound and growing presence in the contemporary R&B scene.

Speaking about the launch, Matata said the idea was to create an experience for people who share an appreciation for R&B, soul and the sounds shaping contemporary music.

“We wanted to create an experience that brings together people who share an appreciation for R&B, soul and the sounds influencing contemporary music. The Soulcial gives us an opportunity to celebrate that music in a live setting and create something audiences can look forward to. We are excited to introduce it to Nairobi with Odeal headlining our first edition,” he said.
