Nairobi is set to host more than 40 countries for the third edition of Powerelec Kenya, the international solar and energy exhibition, from November 10 to 12 at the Sarit Expo Centre.

The exhibition will bring together manufacturers, distributors, investors, trade delegations and policymakers across solar, energy storage, electric mobility and power engineering.

Visitors will see latest technology in photovoltaics, battery storage, power generation and EV charging infrastructure. Organisers say the focus will be on technology transfer, business collaboration and market expansion.

Sungrow, the global PV inverter and energy storage firm, returns as Principal Sponsor for the third consecutive year. Huawei Digital Power is Headline Sponsor.

"Sungrow brings extensive experience in PV inverters and energy storage to the Kenyan market. As Principal Sponsor, we look forward to working with local partners to bring reliable, efficient solutions to more customers across the region," said Nigel Sun, President, Sungrow Sub-Saharan Africa.

A free-to-attend conference of eight sessions will run alongside the exhibition.

Day One opens with a plenary, followed by sessions on the future of energy storage and digitalisation. Day Two will focus on financing Africa's energy transition and will feature a CEO Forum dubbed "A Shark Tank for Women Heading the Energy Eco-System in Kenya". Day Three will host a Utility Masters' Forum on Kenya's landmark energy projects and a session on e-mobility growth.

"Kenya is emerging as a key destination for renewable energy investment in East Africa. Collaboration among technology providers, investors and policymakers will be vital," said Jeen Joshua, Managing Director, VERIFAIR Dubai, the organiser.

Other sponsors include Sigenergy, JA Solar, Gadgetronix, Power & Sun, Kevi Power, Growatt, Jinko ESS and Atmoce. The event is supported by ESAK, KEREA and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
