Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has presided over the launch and handover of refurbished and equipped hospital wards at Kenyatta National Hospital under the Adopt-a-Ward Initiative. The project brings together private sector partners, including Co-operative Bank, Prime Bank, the Nakumatt Molo Fire Victims Fund and Nest 360, to improve specialised healthcare delivery. Key contributions include 100 million shillings from Co-operative Bank and 30 million shillings from the Nakumatt Molo Fire Victims Fund, supporting the provision of modern hospital beds and improved patient care. Duale called on more private sector players to support healthcare development, while urging hospital management to ensure accountability, proper maintenance and effective use of the facilities to improve patient outcomes.
