The Court of Appeal has refused to suspend a High Court order requiring President William Ruto to reconstitute his Cabinet by October 28 to comply with the two-thirds gender rule. The directive follows a government application that sought to suspend the June 30 ruling that declared the Cabinet unconstitutional and directed the Head of State to reconstitute cabinet. The court found that the cabinet had only seven women against 18 men, representing 28 per cent female membership.
