George Ruto, the entrepreneur behind some of Nairobi's most talked-about nganyas, has shared a TikTok slideshow that connects his flying today with a childhood photo beside a plane.

He posted it on Sunday with a short caption: "Never stop. Never settle!"

The slideshow

The first three slides show Ruto inside an aircraft cockpit. He wears a tan flight shirt with a Kenyan flag patch on the sleeve, and a green cap. A smartwatch is on his wrist.

He reaches up to a panel on the ceiling. A pair of Bose aviation headsets hangs beside him.

Each slide carries a line of text, as if someone is directing a photo edit:

  • "Make the picture brighter"

  • "No too bright, make it darker."

  • "No! Just go back to the beginning"

The last slide goes back in time. A young boy in a blue T-shirt and dark jacket gives a thumbs-up in front of a small propeller plane.
