Tallie, popularly known as Mama Ella, broke down in tears on Friday, 23 October, as she spoke about the financial hardships of raising her daughter.
Identified online as radio presenter Oga Obinna’s fourth baby mama, she made the remarks during an emotional TikTok livestream.
Sending CVs daily, but no stable job
A graduate of journalism and mass communication, Tallie said she has been unable to land stable employment.
She described the industry as crowded, saying it is especially hard for those without connections or a media channel of their own.
She said she spends her days sending out CVs and will keep doing so, while also approaching brands about content creation partnerships.
Tallie stressed that she is not asking for handouts, only help to start a small business she can run from home.

The income, she said, would let her provide for her daughter, Ella, without relying on anyone.
“I don’t stand to benefit anything that is meant for my child.”
She added that she never wants to be left with nothing to fall back on if her circumstances change.
Bullying, tears and a call for support
Tallie also spoke about the toll of online bullying. She said strangers have mocked her appearance, her hair and even her nose, leaving her in a very dark place emotionally.
She urged viewers not to project their own unhappiness onto others.
As viewers began sending money during the livestream, she was visibly moved. She broke down in tears and thanked those who had shown up for her.

Tallie said she would like to return to selling pyjamas. She asked for help so she can rely on herself and do more for her daughter.
