Kenyan cross-dresser Johnny the Hairdresser has opened up about a painful high school experience, revealing how he was allegedly beaten by fellow students after his sexuality became a subject of discussion. Speaking during an interview with media personality Kwambox, Johnny recounted how students who had previously shown him affection allegedly turned against him when his private life came under scrutiny.
The entertainer said he was considered a baddie while in school, attracting attention from male students who, according to him, would send him poems, chocolates, lollipops and handwritten letters.

However, what he described as innocent exchanges later became part of a distressing confrontation that left him physically assaulted.
"I was like, am trying also to be like... I was a baddie in school and that's how nilipigwa, Kwambox," Johnny recalled.
He explained that he was taken into a cube-like space and positioned in a corner at the centre, where a group of students allegedly began questioning others about whether they had interacted with him.
According to Johnny, the students were reading out a list of names, asking each person whether they had ever had an encounter with him.
"They were reading the list, Kevin, did you have encounter with this one? No! And this one? No!" he narrated.
Johnny Says Former Admirer Denied Sending Him Gifts
In one particularly painful part of his account, Johnny claimed that a male student who had previously sent him poems, chocolates and lollipops was among those questioned.
He said he had kept evidence of their interactions, including handwritten letters, chocolate wrappers and other items he believed could establish their connection.
Johnny recalled telling the group to retrieve the items from his cube, confident that the evidence would contradict the student's denial.
"There was even one guy who was sending me poems, and chocolates and lollipops. Good thing I was keeping those receipts. I had those letters, I had the wraps and the chocolates, nilikuwa nazo," he said.
He claimed the items were brought forward, but the student allegedly denied knowing him and rejected the handwriting on the letters.
"He was asked, have you ever talked to Johnny? No! Is this your handwriting? No!" Johnny recounted.
According to the entertainer, the student then encouraged the others to beat him.

"And the guy said, 'Malizeni yeye.' Nilitandikwa!" he added, describing the alleged assault.
Johnny's account highlights the painful experience of being targeted by people he believed had previously expressed affection towards him.
Johnny Explains His Approach to Club Visits
During the same interview, Johnny also explained how he navigates nightlife while cross-dressing, revealing that he sometimes uses women's washrooms when visiting clubs.
He said he makes a point of informing bouncers and other staff members beforehand that he is a man to minimise misunderstandings should any issues arise.
Johnny explained that the approach helps ensure security personnel know who he is and can confirm that he was allowed into the establishment.
His revelations have shed light on the challenges he says he has faced, both during his school years and in navigating public spaces as an adult.
The allegations about the high school incident have not been independently verified, and the individuals Johnny referred to have not been identified in his account.
