Nairobi County official Geoffrey Mosiria has broken his silence following his sacking from County role.
In a strongly worded Facebook post, Mosiria thanked the governor for making his dismissal official but claimed that their working relationship had deteriorated long before the formal decision.
He traced the beginning of his troubles to December 28, 2023, when he alleged that Sakaja stripped him of his constitutionally assigned mandate as an accounting officer.
"Thank you, my boss, for making my sacking official," Mosiria wrote.
He described the memo through which his responsibilities were allegedly reassigned as unprocedural, claiming that the move undermined his ability to perform his duties.

Mosiria further alleged that his health docket's budget was reduced from KSh 1.2 billion to KSh 100 million, leaving him without adequate resources to carry out his responsibilities.
He also claimed that Sakaja confronted him during a WhatsApp conference call attended by the governor's chief of staff, Osman Khalif.
The allegations were made in Mosiria's Facebook post and have not been independently verified.

Claims he was sidelined after transfer
Mosiria said he was later transferred to the Environment docket, where he alleged that his director reported directly to Sakaja, leaving him with little meaningful work.
He claimed that instead of remaining idle in his office, he chose to take to the streets and oversee operations that he believed should have been handled by junior officers.
"I still wanted to serve Nairobians," he explained. The county official further alleged that he endured attacks in official WhatsApp groups, public criticism and a court case that nearly saw him jailed for six months over alleged contempt of court.
He claimed that after questioning his treatment, he was transferred again, this time to Customer Service, Public Participation and Citizens Engagement.
Mosiria said he remained silent despite bloggers calling for his resignation, insisting that his main concern was serving Nairobi residents and earning back the governor's trust.
Says Sakaja stopped responding to his calls
Mosiria identified December 28, 2023, as the date of his last meeting with Sakaja, claiming the encounter took place at the governor's private office in Riverside.
