IMAGE/HILTON OTENYO The Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi will on Tuesday launch a new podcast aimed at giving Kenyans deeper insight into government programmes, policy priorities and diplomatic engagements.
Dubbed the Phantom Podcast, the platform will provide regular updates on the mandate, programmes and achievements of the five State Departments under the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary (OPCS).
Director of Press Services Jacob Ng’etich said the initiative was part of efforts to modernise government communication and make the work of the Prime Cabinet Secretary’s office more accessible to the public.
He said the podcast would focus on national coordination, diplomacy, development priorities and Kenya’s engagement on the global stage.
“The maiden episodes of the Phantom Podcast will focus on the recently concluded 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 81) in New York and highlight the achievements and outcomes of the Kenyan delegation led by President William Ruto,” Ng’etich said.
“The episodes will provide an in-depth account of Kenya's engagement at the UNGA, including the country's diplomatic priorities, bilateral engagements, strategic partnerships and the key outcomes secured by the Kenyan delegation during the High-Level Week,” he added.
The first episodes will be available from Tuesday, October 13, 2026, through the office’s official digital communication platforms.
The podcast will subsequently run weekly, creating a regular platform for Kenyans and other audiences to understand government initiatives and emerging national and international issues.
Ng’etich said the initiative would complement existing communication channels by providing more context, analysis and direct engagement on matters of national importance.
The office said the podcast was informed by the need to ensure government policies, programmes and achievements were clearly understood by citizens and other stakeholders.
Through the platform, the OPCS Press Services team seeks to strengthen the office’s communication strategy and provide consistent updates on the government’s agenda and progress.
The podcast is expected to offer audiences a deeper understanding of the office’s work and its role in coordinating national priorities and advancing Kenya’s diplomatic interests.
