The Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi was transformed for the sold-out "One Night Only: Brunch Edition" concert on Mashujaa Day, 20 October 2026.
Organised by Fenon Premium Productions and Radio Africa Group, with Stanbic Bank as the lead sponsor, the daytime event ran from 3 pm to 11 pm.
Giant chess-inspired installations, floral arches, and custom-branded backdrops set a black-and-gold aesthetic across the venue grounds. Ticket holders passed through security check-ins via Ticket Yetu to receive event wristbands.
Gold tickets were priced at Sh 15,000, while Gold Couple packages sold for Sh 20,000.
The Eight Colours of 'Ne-Yo Luxe'
Event organisers established an official dress code termed “Ne-Yo Luxe” for the daytime show. The style guide featured eight distinct colours, each paired with a music-themed tagline.
Navy was tagged as “deep like the feeling of love.” Bronze was described as “warm like the groove.” Olive Green was defined as “naturally in tune.” Gold was tagged as “made to shine.”
Cream was listed as “soft like a slow jam.” Burgundy was tagged as “bold like the hook.” Chocolate was described as “rich like the bassline.” Finally, Black was tagged as “smooth like the classics.”
Prominent Theme Styling for Men and Women
Attendees arrived wearing various interpretations of these thematic shades under the Nairobi sun. Women selected olive green corset-style maxi dresses and satin gold midi dresses styled with high slits and straw hats.
Other female guests wore cream bustier tops with ruffle skirts fading into burgundy, or burgundy leather mini skirts with knee-high boots.
Denim choices included corset mini dresses, while trousers included tan halter tops with brown wide-leg jeans and black off-shoulder tops with cargo jeans.
Men wore smart-casual outfits in deep, earthy tones. Male attire included chocolate-brown suits with black turtlenecks and white sneakers, alongside navy linen shirts with white trousers and navy loafers.
Additional looks featured green polo shirts with white trousers and scarves, brown tees with cream shorts, and black leather jackets over turtlenecks.
Venue Atmosphere, Food and an 11-Year Return
Exclusive zones such as the Regal Lounge (Platinum) provided draped seating arrangements, grand chandeliers, and fine dining setups. Outside, chefs at live grill stations prepared cuts of meat over open flames.
A DJ lineup featuring DJ Xclusive, DJ Andy Young, DJ Chunky, and DJ Jesse performed from the decks. They built anticipation for headliner Ne-Yo and supporting UK band Sol & The Gang.
This performance marks Ne-Yo's first appearance in Kenya in 11 years. He last performed in the country in 2015 during the third season of Coke Studio Africa.
