Kenyans are being urged to undergo regular eye screening to help detect eye conditions early and prevent possible vision loss. Public awareness on eye health remains important in helping people understand how to protect their vision. Health professionals are encouraging communities to seek eye care services and avoid waiting until vision problems interfere with their daily activities. Dr Monicah Botik, Head of the Eye Section at the Ministry of Health, says educating the public on eye health is key to encouraging people to take better care of their vision and seek medical attention when necessary.
