Chepalungu MP aspirant Festus Ruto has asked the Registrar of Political Parties to verify whether The Equitable Party followed its constitution in the proposed rebranding to Linda Mwananchi Movement. In a letter received today , Ruto argues that the October 8 National Executive Council resolution may not replace approval by the National Delegates Conference, as required by the party constitution as he seeks to ensure compliance with the Political Parties Act before changes to the party’s name, colours and symbol are finalised.
