First Son George Ruto has been turning heads after radio host and MC Japhe posted a photo of the two together at what appeared to be a high-end outdoor reception on Saturday, 3 October.
Japhe's one-word caption, "Future", sent Kenyans online debating what it might mean for the president's youngest son.
Dressed for the occasion
In the photo, George wears a cream suit with matching trousers. He pairs it with a white shirt open at the collar, a black belt and black slip-on shoes.
Japhe stands beside him in a black-and-white houndstooth blazer with wide velvet lapels. He wears a white dress shirt and a bow tie.
Both men are smiling broadly. They pose on bright green artificial turf under a white event tent.

Behind them are round tables with pale pink cloths. Pink and white flowers decorate each one.
A Caption sparks speculations
The outfits were striking, but the caption is what set social media buzzing. Japhe wrote a single word, "Future", and tagged George Ruto. George liked the post.
Kenyans soon began debating what the word could mean for the president's youngest son. Neither man has explained it.
George has been appearing more often at public events. In August, he visited Westlands Primary School to meet teacher Cillah. In July, he reportedly flew a helicopter to a football tournament sponsored by his company.
Each appearance has prompted talk about his plans. Some online users have asked whether he is being lined up for a bigger public role. There is no confirmation of that.

One word, many reactions
Some commenters backed the idea at once. Paul Machira wrote: "One day, he will become president of the Republic of Kenya."
Jacob Tenai was more measured. "He can be a good leader," he said.

Others disagreed. Kiptoo Enock questioned the caption directly.
"Future what? Leadership is earned, not passed down."
Timbwol Arap Rop shared that view, replying simply: "Future what?"
