President William Ruto's daughter, Charlene Ruto, has featured in a warm, candid international interview discussing the philanthropic work she has become known for.

The clip, shared on Instagram was filmed inside a softly lit living room with yellow walls, vintage furniture and a coffee table dressed with orchids. A "Logictry" branding mark was the only visible identifier on screen.

Charlene is the founder of the SMACHS Foundation and has recently been active on the international philanthropy circuit, having attended the World Logic Forum in New York on September 18, 2026, where she was honored with a Logic Circle Award under a banner focused on women and next-generation leaders. Logictry, the organizer referenced in the new interview's branding, is the group behind the World Logic Forum, held annually during UN General Assembly week.

Giving Without Recognition

In the interview, Charlene rejected the notion that philanthropy is about legacy or having a name attached to a building.

"Philanthropy is not about a name on a building. It really is about compassion because if you do what you do without love, then it's just a resounding gong."

She reflected on the personal cost of sustained generosity, referencing two people, Gloria and Amy, who she said had opened their homes to others over many years.

"To host people in this home for all over the years, it must have taken a lot of love. It's discomfort. It's people coming into your space all the time. It really takes a lot of love."

A Message to Young People

Charlene also turned her attention to the younger generation, saying that love, above all else, is what they need most right now.

The remark echoes comments she made days earlier, after attending the New York forum, where she said the challenges facing the world today require thinking beyond sectors and generations, adding that young people need to be trusted with the responsibility to help shape what comes next.
