Parklands detectives have arrested two suspects in connection with the reported theft of property belonging to the Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen).
The investigation began after an HP laptop and an iPad were reported stolen from KenGen premises on September 14, 2026.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said detectives, acting on leads generated during the investigation, traced and arrested the first suspect in Imara Daima, Nairobi.
Several items believed to be of investigative interest were recovered from his possession.
The investigation later led detectives to a second suspect, from whom an HP laptop was recovered.
According to the DCI, verification of the laptop’s serial number established that it matched the one earlier reported stolen from KenGen.
The two suspects remain in police custody as detectives pursue further leads to recover the remaining property and establish the circumstances surrounding the reported theft.
