NCIC has summoned nominated MP Joseph Wainaina to appear before it on September 17 over alleged inflammatory remarks made during a public address in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County, over the weekend. Wainaina was reportedly captured urging members of a particular community opposing President William Ruto’s re-election to leave the Rift Valley. The NCIC has also summoned Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku over alleged incitement remarks made on August 22 at Ewuaso Oonkidongi in Kajiado West Constituency.
