President William Ruto has called for the complete transformation of African commerce by leveraging the African Continental Free Trade Area. Speaking during the inauguration of Zambia’s President Hakainde Hichilema, President Ruto urged African nations to shift away from exporting raw materials and importing finished goods at a premium and build a powerful, self-reliant economic community.
