The Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) has condemned the alleged deployment of hired individuals to disrupt a peaceful nurses’ demonstration in Kisii County. Secretary-General Seth Panyako said nurses taking part in a peaceful demonstration yesterday were confronted by individuals he described as goons, accusing police of failing to provide adequate protection. The union called for investigations to establish what happened and identify those responsible for the disruption.
