Artificial intelligence could contribute up to $1 trillion to Africa’s GDP by 2035 if the technology is developed and deployed inclusively, according to estimates cited by Microsoft. However, experts warn that weak infrastructure, limited funding and shortages in skills and institutional capacity could slow the continent's ability to benefit from the technology.
