Zimbabwean billionaire businessman and socialite Sir Wicknell Chivayo has shared a remarkable encounter with Kenyan President William Ruto, revealing that the Head of State personally drove him to his helicopter after attending Charlene Ruto’s engagement celebration.
Chivayo took to Instagram to share the unexpected moment, describing the short journey as one of the most memorable experiences of his life.
“Being driven by the President of Kenya, God is the greatest,” Chivayo wrote, accompanying the post with the caption “PRICELESS MOMENTS IN EAST AFRICA.”

According to Chivayo, he had already considered the engagement celebration a special occasion. However, he was in for another surprise as he prepared to leave.
He said President Ruto offered to drive him approximately three kilometres to the helipad where his helicopter was waiting.
Chivayo described himself sitting in the front passenger seat while his wife sat at the back, with President Ruto behind the steering wheel.
The Zimbabwean businessman said the experience left him overwhelmed with joy, especially because of the uniqueness of the moment.
“I’ve lived large and had many different and exceptionally beautiful experiences in my opulent lifestyle, but certainly this was a first,” he wrote.
A Three-Kilometre Journey He Won’t Forget
He described the three-kilometre drive as one of the most priceless journeys of his life, saying he spent the moment reflecting on what he considered an extraordinary display of grace and favour.
“God, what kind of grace is this?” he recalled thinking.
The businessman also praised Ruto’s humility, thanking the Kenyan President for the kindness and warmth he said had been extended to him.
‘Royal Blood Indeed Flows Through My Veins’
Never one to shy away from dramatic expressions, Chivayo said the experience had left him believing that “royal blood” indeed flows through his veins.
However, he quickly attributed the moment to what he described as the grace and favour of God.
He ended his emotional message by thanking President Ruto and expressing his appreciation in both English and Kiswahili.
“TO GOD BE THE GLORY,” he declared before adding, “ASANTE SANA, RAIS WANGU.”
