According to Voronoi by Visual Capitalist, Türkiye tops the list with an average retail price of $2,592, equivalent to 219 per cent of the US benchmark price.
Brazil follows at $2,260, while Egypt ranks third at $1,872. Hungary, Norway, Mexico, Sweden, Poland, Czechia and Finland complete the top 10, with prices ranging from $1,578 to $1,826.
In Kenya, the iPhone 17 Pro 256GB sells for an average of about KSh164,000 (approximately $1,268), making it considerably cheaper than in the highest-priced markets but still above the US retail price.
The findings illustrate how taxes, import costs, currency fluctuations and government policies can significantly influence smartphone prices, affecting affordability for consumers across different countries.
