Global perceptions of artificial intelligence's impact on the workplace have remained largely unchanged over the past year, according to the Artificial Intelligence Index Report 2026.
The report shows that 39 per cent of respondents in both 2024 and 2025 believe it is somewhat likely that AI will change how they do their current jobs within the next five years.
Another 32 per cent in both years said such changes are not likely.
Those who believe AI is very likely to affect their work rose slightly from 21 per cent in 2024 to 22 per cent in 2025.
Meanwhile, uncertainty declined, with the share of respondents who said they did not know falling from eight per cent to seven per cent.
