Linda Mwananchi movement leader Edwin Sifuna has sparked fresh online discussion after thanking residents of Bungoma for turning up in large numbers during his recent political engagement, saying they had already played their part.
In a post shared on his official X account on July 26, Sifuna expressed his appreciation to the county's residents, writing,
“Mimi hakuna kitu nadai watu wa Bungoma saa hii. You showed up, you have done your bit. Sitawaangusha. Asanteni sana.”
The post quickly attracted hundreds of thousands of views and generated widespread reactions from supporters and critics alike.
The statement came after videos and photos from the Bungoma event circulated on social media, with many users discussing the size of the crowd and what it could mean for the Linda Mwananchi movement's political activities.
The phrase "Sisi Ndio Sifuna" also emerged as one of the recurring slogans among supporters participating in the online conversation.
Growing Online Support and Regional Anticipation
While many users welcomed the message, others argued that turnout at political rallies should be accompanied by clear policy proposals and governance plans.

X user @katanabh urged Sifuna to move beyond campaign-style politics and articulate a clear agenda for the country. He wrote, “Bro... Tell us what you stand for and what change utaleta.
