Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has revealed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 (approximately KSh25.8 million to KSh38.7 million) every month on his personal lifestyle, excluding expenses on his wife, family, luxury cars and jewellery.
The singer made the remarks during a livestream conversation with DavreITV, where he spoke about the financial demands that come with being one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
“I spend $200K-$300K monthly, minus my wife, family, buying cars and jewellery.” – Davido.
According to the award-winning musician, the amount covers only his personal expenses and does not include major purchases or the financial support he provides to his loved ones.

Davido added that his monthly expenditure can increase depending on his schedule, particularly when he is travelling abroad for performances, recording sessions and other work commitments.
The cost of life at the top
Although the singer did not break down the figure, international recording artists often shoulder substantial operational costs. These can include salaries for members of their team, private security, accommodation, transport, rehearsals and travel logistics.
Artists who tour globally may also incur additional expenses linked to production, equipment, accommodation for crew members and international business operations.
His music has accumulated billions of streams across digital platforms, while songs such as Fall, If, Unavailable and Feel have contributed to the worldwide growth of Afrobeats.
In recent years, Davidohas also headlined major international venues and appeared on some of the world's biggest music stages, reflecting the genre's growing global appeal.

Family remains a priority.
Davido’scomments come months after he spoke publicly about his relationship with his wife, Chioma Rowland, revealing why he always believed she was the person he wanted to marry. The singer said they met while they were students and dated for more than a decade before tying the knot. He added that one of the qualities that stood out to him was Chioma’s approach to money, saying she would save and invest the money he gave her rather than spend it carelessly.
The couple officially married in 2024 after years together and have frequently shared moments from their family life on social media.
