Kenyan musician Bahati has finally addressed long-standing online assumptions regarding his fidelity to his wife, Diana Marua. The couple sat down for a candid session on Diana’s YouTube channel to tackle crazy assumptions sent in by their followers.
It was a rare moment of the singer responding directly to claims that have circulated for years.
One specific follower suggested that Bahati regularly cheats on Diana and compensates by "showering her with money." Bahati’s response was immediate.
He challenged the premise, asking where this supposed money comes from and questioning if Diana had ever caught him in the act during their decade-long relationship.
"How? I think you are using these people to get to me. You cannot sit me here to ask me about what people are assuming about us. Have you ever caught me cheating? It’s 10 years. Have you ever?" Bahati asked her.

The conversation shifted to the couple's personal boundaries and digital privacy. Bahati revealed that he does not even know his own phone password. He claimed that Diana often checks his device while he is asleep.
The couple admitted they frequently argue about "petty things" related to the idea of cheating. Bahati stated that in their household, even the "thought" of wanting to stray is considered a betrayal.
Diana noted that many people assume they only stay together for the sake of their public image.
Challenging the Public Image
Bahati joked about needing to rebrand if he were truly the person the public assumes him to be. Diana countered by asking if he felt he still had a chance to marry someone else.
“I’m a gospel artist, and if that’s the way people see me out here, I need to rebrand. What might I have done to make that ‘cheater’ image in people’s heads? You guys cannot stoop me that low.”
Bahati was quick to reaffirm his commitment to his wife.
“I’ll marry you and no one else. The wedding I’m going to do for you will be the best Africa has seen,” he assured her.
The duo also addressed darker rumours, including claims of involvement in "wash wash" (money laundering) schemes or secret societies. Diana emphasised that their lifestyle is the result of intense hard work and sacrifice.
She noted that they avoid the clubbing and partying scene unless they are booked to perform.

Despite the constant scrutiny from their millions of followers, the couple remains focused on their future milestones. Bahati promised a decade of love celebration to mark their tenth anniversary. This is reportedly set to feature ten different parties, culminating in a grand white wedding.
The couple concluded the video by stating that they are working towards a level of financial security where they can't go broke. For now, they say their success is built on better decision-making and religious faith rather than the "nonsense" often discussed online.
